Dr. Carl Pogoncheff was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. He attended Lansing Catholic Central High School, received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, and graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He completed a Masters of Science degree in Prosthodontics at the University of Michigan. He received numerous awards including the Francis B. Vedder Award for Crown and Bridge Dentistry (awarded to the top graduating student in Crown and Bridge Dentistry), the Comprehensive Care Award, the Joseph Clayton Scholarship and the American College of Prosthodontists Undergraduate Achievement Award.
Dr. Pogoncheff is currently a faculty member at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and a past chair of the Dental School Alumni Board of Governors. Dr. Pogoncheff is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and is a Board Certified Prosthodontist. Dr. Pogoncheff is a published author and has given continuing education courses to other dentists. In addition, he has presented on dental topics on various national meetings. He is also a reviewer for the Journal of Prosthodontics.
Pogoncheff is the first Prosthodontist in Lansing to be certified by American Board of Prosthodontics.
